Long Description:
The marker at the cottage reads: "This late Victorian villa was
built for the head gardener in 1899. It has recently been returned
to its original colour scheme, and the area in front of the cottage
laid out in a formal design. The house is still occupied, but no
longer by the head gardener. The camellia gardens to the right of
the cottage were donated in the 1950s by the Rotary Clubs of
Rotorua."
