The Swiftcurrent Lake is fed by many of the glaciers in the area, including the Grinnell Glacier. There are views of Mount Gould, Grinnell Point and Mount Wilbur. Located on the eastern side of the lake is the historic Many Glacier Hotel, the largest hotel in Glacier National Park.
Parking/put-in/launching information: The main launch area is west of the Many Glaciers Lodge.
Paddling conditions to be expected: A deep, cold alpine lake with magnificent views.
Difficulty of the trip: An easy paddle, but very cold if you fall in.
Length of trip: The lake is approximately a mile in length

Permits required: No permits are required, but there is an entry fee to the National Park starting at $25 for 7 days.
