This bridge is located in the town of Conway, MA. When traveling from Conway to Ashfield it is on the left hand side, 1 mile north of town.

Built in 1870, the Burkeville Covered Bridge is the oldest surviving covered bridge in the United States. This one span variation of a Howe Truss is 107 feet long. It is closed to traffic and there is room to park one car directly in front of the bridge on Rt. 116.

This bridge was placed on the list of National Historic Places September 1st, 1998 and it was restored in the year 2005.

Description of Covered Bridge:
This bridge is one lane pedestrian bridge that is 107 feet long. Its design is a variation of a Howe Truss. It was restored in 2005 and is in excellent condition.
