St. Clement's Chapel - Tallahassee, FL - This Old Church on Waymarking.com

A historical marker in front of the little chapel provides the following information: "Built in the town of Lloyd in 1890, this Episcopal chapel was dedicated as St. Clement's Church on June 14, 1895, by Edwin Gardner Weed, 3rd Bishop of Florida. William Betton of Tallahassee designed and built the structure at a cost of $3,500. The furnishings are the original ones, including the pine pews and reed organ. The Bishop's Chair, oldest in Florida, dates from 1838 and is the only one in existence that the first five Bishops of Florida all used. The chapel was moved to this site and rededicated on November 29, 1959, by Edward Hamilton West, 5th Bishop of Florida."

We stopped by the little chapel on a Saturday afternoon, and the door was unlocked and open to visitors. A sign on the door says: "Enter here to rest and pray, Receive His love then go thy way."

The website for the Episcopal Church of the Advent (visit link), on whose grounds the St. Clement's Chapel is located, is provided in the Variables section below; however, very little mention is made of the St. Clement's Chapel on the Church's website. We did discover on the website that on Sundays at 8:00 a.m. the Service of Holy Eucharist - Rite 2 is held in St. Clement's.
