It has been a long standing tradition dating back to colonial days that on New Year's Eve revelers dressed as Native Americans and African American go house to house accompanied by a fiddler singing La Guignolée (an ancient French song) asking for food and drink. A more formal W.P.A. mural of this festival is located in the Post Office.
