This may have been where the Civil War really ended because a decisive battle was fought here that stopped the aggressive moves into the Southwest.

Many relics have been found in this area of troops from both North and South and several states. This was a major battlefield location extending many miles.

This is a companion to the geocache "Gettysburg Of The West". Between these two caches, on Highway 50, watch for the Historical Roadside Marker that gives more history of this area, all of which is still under active research and exploration.
