The Sullivan County Confederate Memorial stands as an everlasting tribute to the county’s Confederate Veterans. The memorial also honors those Confederate Soldiers who fought in the Battle of Blountville on September 22, 1863.

The memorial plaque reads:

“Dedicated to the memory of the Confederate Soldiers of Sullivan County, Tennessee War of 1861-1865. Battle of Blountville, September 22, 1863.”

“Erected by Nineteenth Tennessee Chapter U. D. C. – June 6, 1928”
