Redwood Valley Railroad, located in south Tilden Park off of Grizzly Peak Boulevard, is a 5/12 scale 15ins gauge steam railway based on the narrow gauge railroads of the late 1800s. The rides are approximately 12 minutes round trip and take you through fragrant bay and oak forests, through a tunnel and past miniature water towers and train sheds. There is even the occasional breathtaking view of the San Pablo Reservoir.
Weather permitting, the trains run every weekend and holidays.
During a limited portion of the summer, they run weekdays.
