Clark Accelerated Academy is the public school for the Central West End Neighborhood in the city of St. Louis. Clark Accelerated Academy was established in 1907. The school was named after William Clark who explored the Missouri River with Merriwether Lewis, unlocking the gateway to the western expansion of the Louisiana Territory. William Clark served as the first chairman of the school board of St. Louis, thus inaugurating our city's public education system.
