This cross placed by the citizens of Acworth, GA. in 1974 sits at a prominent point on a fairly small but beautiful lake in Acworth, GA. The park that the cross is in is the center of recreational activities for the city and surrounding areas. Swimming, canoeing, fishing, concerts and all manner of recreation are to be had nearby. Less than 100 feet away is an impressive veterans memorial honoring all those who serve our nation.
The cross itself is of silver colored metal and is standing on a pedestal of laid in stone.
This cross is truly a surprise to see in this place and when contemplating it's simplicity and beauty with its backround of beauty it is an outstanding place to visit.
