The new Stockton Courthouse was built in 1964, when the cold War was the hottest. So, at the time it made sense to incorporate a fallout shelter in the building.
Unfortunately, the sign doesn't say anything about the capacity and since this is a metal-detector-protected courthouse, we couldn't take a camera inside to take more pictures.
