Lake Alpine is one of the major recreational areas along California's State Route 4. This reservoir covers 180 acres, has a boat ramp, five campgrounds and a network of hiking and skiing trails.

Even if all you do is just get out of the car for ten minutes, you will still be intrigued by the beauty of this alpine lake.
