Camp Milton Historic Preserve is a park located on land where Confederate soldiers camped during the Civil War. An earthworks fort stood on the site at one point as well. Not surprisingly, this area has been quite popular for archaeologists interested in this time period.
This sign details some of the research done at Camp Milton. It is located along the boardwalk that leads visitors through the woods to the area where the fort once stood.
