The River Bluff Trail in Buffalo Rock State Park (visit link) offers a handicapped accessible* trail which ends with this observation platform overlooking the Illinois River and to the southwest Starved Rock State Park.

*It is considered handicapped accessible because it is barrier-free, but the trail is compacted, crushed limestone and is suceptible to rutting and erosion. Also the grades may difficult for some, so with all of that in mind, having someone there for the occasional push may be necessary.

The trail does continue beyond this platform for those who wish to view all of the animals created for the "Effigy Tumuli" earth art.
