I had to do a double take on this sign. I thought it was the real deal. It makes a play on words of the Texas Historical Commission. However, this one is a Texas Histerical Commission sign.
Sign text:
On March 2, 1836 Texas declared her independence from Mexico. Wild Comanches roamed the plains. Rangers protected frontier settlements, and this building was not here yet.
