Grant County SD was organized in 1873. The Classical Revival stone courthouse, built in 1915 and designed by the architect who created the state capital, features a gold glass dome which tops a beautifully decorated interior rotunda. The interior decorations have been restored as closely as possible to those of the original.

The top of the rotunda.
