Long Description:
Located at the edge of the decommissioned Alameda Naval Air force Base. There's ample parking, but the location is a bit out-of-the way (of course--where else do planners put skaters!?) Accessible via the 63 bus, for the auto-impaired visitor. A couple of soda and snack machines provide some refreshment. Porta-potty nearby. Pretty much no shade except against the building on the other side of the parking lot.
Skates and skateboards only.
One interesting perk: On the nearby abandoned runways you can occasionally see the "Mythbusters" shooting episodes. Skating tends to stop when this happens.
