Located in front of the Mamie Dowd Eisenhower Library (
visit link) in Broomfield, Colorado, this large piece is entitled 'Generations.' The sculptor is Ann LaRose and the piece was dedicated in July 1995. The 'text' on the book is quite simple drawing of ducks. I really liked the size of this piece, but was disappointed at the lack of detail of the 'book'.
"Since receiving her art degree in 1970 from Oklahoma College of Liberal Arts, Ms. LaRose has exhibited her work throughout the United States. A few special exhibitions have included: The Pen and Brush Sculpture Exhibition in New York, receiving an Honorable Mention Award; the Idaho Governor's Exhibition; The National Arabian Horse Show; National Wildlife Exhibition in Oregon; the Park City Art Festival in Utah; Affaire in the Gardens, Beverly Hills, California; a European exhibit; "Sculpture in the Park" in Loveland, Colorado; a single artist exhibit at the Washington County Arts Museum, Hagerstown, Maryland in 1990; the 1991 Allied Artists of America 78th Annual Exhibition in New York City; the 1992 Sedona Sculpture Walk; Best of Scottsdale 1992; and The Nicolaysen Museum Show for 1992."
