Knead and Feed has a cafe and gift shop at street level but follow the signs to the lower story for a great spot for a delicious, weekend breakfast. During the week they are only open for lunch but on Saturday and Sunday you can feast on hot cakes, French toast and savory scrambles, among other things. We found their giant cinnamon rolls amazing - especially the orange roll. YUMM!
The restaurant is located in the historic Sedge Building, built in 1871. Over the years it has housed many businesses, including an undertaker, a chinese laundry and the town's first telephone exchange. It is a contributing building to the Central Whidbey Island National Historic District.
