A brief account of the battle of Frenchman's Creek can be read at Battle of Frenchman's Creek
The fortunate truth for the British was that this was yet another in a series of poorly executed attacks on Canada by a superior American force, which was repelled during the War of 1812.
During the battle both sides lost approximately 100 men.
