[FR] Il culmine à 1 272 mètres. Son sommet donne un point de vue panoramique. On y trouve une ferme-auberge sur le versant Est (Strohberg) et une seconde sur le versant Ouest (Rothenbrunnen), une statue de la Vierge et une antenne-relais radio.
[EN] Located between the Munster Valley in the north and the Guebwiller Valley (or Florival) in the south, the summit faces the Grand Ballon, highest mountain of the Vosges, located on the other side of the Florival valley. The massif is well-known for its numerous farm-inns and its little mountain hamlets (Hilsen, Stemlisberg, Oberbreitenbach, Erschlitt.)
