The forest is approximately 10 miles southwest of Jacksonville, and 5 miles southwest of Orange Park. The State Forest has 5 entrances along the perimeter of the forest." The swimming hole is located in the North Fork Black Creek in the western section of the Forest off Long Branch Cemetery Road.
