As has been typical of many of these old manors, this one has been split in half as well in grand duplex fashion. At least the owners had enough sense to make it seem as seamless as possible. Now if #61 would just get some louvered shutters to match #59.
Located at 59 & 60 East Second Street in downtown Moorestown, this is one (or possibly two?) of 351 contributing buildings/structures to this historic district.
The Department of the Interior sent me the following narrative/information on this house:
"c.1842. 2 1/2-story, 4-register double house, aluminum sided with paneled doors and 4-light transoms. #59, 6/6 double hung sash with louvered shutters. #61, 1/1 double hung, all with metal surrounds. Pedimented dormers added 20th century. Rear additions. Mid-20th-century clapboarded garage. - Contributing.”
