Alport Heights is a high point in south Derbyshire. The western slope was acquired by the Trust in 1930. There are two large free parking areas. Free access.

The Trust's land is open access and mainly covered in yellow gorse bushes on the slopes. There is a disused sandstone quarry with a distinctive 6 meter high stone pillar. The access track has a height barrier.
Co-ordinates are the entrance sign beside the road.
