A short walk from the picnic shelter area of Fort Ebey State Park you'll find a beautiful view of the Strait of Juan de Fuca and the Olympic Mountains from atop the bluffs of Whidbey Island.
This is the location of the fort's battery 248. Next to the battery is a trail along the top of the bluff with gorgeous views. However, if you don't want to hike, even just the view from the battery is incredible.
Watch carefully because this is at times used as a paragliding landing/take off area.
