The truss structure of the willow Creek Bridge, known as a rigid-connected lattice pony truss, commonly used in 19th century wooden covered bridges was only used for short span metal bridges. This small-scale truss was built in 1913 by the Canton Bridge Company of Canton, Ohio. In 1994 it was moved to its present location near the hsitroical museum in Gilman Park in Pierce, Nebraska where it is used as a footbridge.
