This bell is dedicated to fallen firefighters and says at the top, "To our deceased brother firefighters".
The bell is still in working condition and if you stand around it long enough you will see some kid come by ring the bell then run off from being startled by the loud noise it makes.
The bell reads:
Purchased with funds bequeathed
to Eagle Fire Co. No. 1
by Mrs. Dorcas Wiles
and placed in this tower by the
company Jan. 1875. for the public
Backside reads:
The Jones & Company.
