The swanky QUEEN CITY CLUB BUILDING, SW, corner of Fourth St. and
Broadway, designed by Henry Hake, is a 4-story stone structure in modified
Italian Renaissance style. On the Fourth Street side are stylized symbols
of industry and commerce; on the Broadway exterior, symbols of art and
agriculture. The building has a library, dining room, ballroom, and
billiard room, besides a number of rooms for lodgers.
Organized in 1874, the club moved into its present quarters in 1927.
Membership is drawn from professional, industrial, and commercial circles.

The Queen City Club continues to be located in the building. The Queen
City Club is the oldest and most prestigious private club in the Cincinnati
area. Many of Cincinnati's business leaders both past and present are
members of the club.
