Small pockets of warm to hot water can be found along the shoreline in the near vicinity. The given co-ords lead you to natural hot waterfalls, flowing from the fern covered banks into a quiet inlet of the Waikato River.
Most people who visit come by boat, launched from nearby boatramps. But this hidden area is also accessible by road, although it is a dusty metal road surface. Access is via Te Kopia Road and a small rough side track leading to the river.
Members of the nearby Sunseekers Club, from an inlet further along the river, also sometimes visit these springs. Depending on river levels and rainfall, the temperature can vary between warm and very hot. Because the hot spring water mixes with the river water, it is usually easy enough to find a spot suitable to soak in. Simply Paradise! Enjoy!!
