Large tombstone, located on a grassy slope in the picturesque Mountain View cemetery in Oakland, CA.
Description:
Frank Norris was an American progressive era novelist and the author of "The Octopus" and "McTeague." His work was influenced by the writings of Emile Zola and Upton Sinclair.

Norris died at the young age of 32 as the result of an appendicitis.
