Long Description:
Sierra Sky Park is billed as the nation's first residential airport. It was built shortly after WWII and the runway is surrounded by homes of pilots and flight enthusiasts alike. The residents have hangars for garages, street signs and lights are kept short to protect airplane wings from damage and the city streets are extra wide being used as taxiways. There use to be a large hangar building near the runway but that has been removed.
