The Greek Theatre, located on Gayley Road above the University of California at Berkeley campus, was designed by John Galen Howard as part of his classic Beaux Arts plan for the campus. Since its construction in 1903, it has hosted graduations, music concerts and famous speakers. Presenters have included William Randolph Hearst, the Dalai Lama, Talking Heads, and the Grateful Dead.
This is also on the list of National Registered Historic Places.
