The Whetstone Brook runs from about Marlboro, VT to Brattleboro, VT. Just before it merges with the Connecticut River, it falls approximately 40 feet over rocky ledges, providing beautiful cascades. At the top of the ledge, the brook had been blocked to divert water for the mills that were located here. Now the brook, hemmed in on both sides by buildings, parking lots and streets, the brook falls over an initial drop that appears to be the remnant of the dam, then over the rocks.
Parking is available at a public lot just above the falls, right off Main and Canal Streets.
