The Conley house is an Italianate style house built 1868-69. The Italianate style is a rare style for a home in Columbia, Missouri. The house remained in the Conley family until the home was purchased by the University of Missouri in the 1970's. The building currently houses an excellence in teaching program and campus writing program for the University.

It is rumored that the house is haunted with the ghost of Aunt Sally Conley. She only comes out at night when the attic door is left ajar.
