Long Description:
We met an elderly couple while here. He was celebrating his 96th birthday and out to visit this park on a beautiful, sunny day. Absolutely amazing!

New features at the 70-acre site include benches, sidewalks and three pavilions with picnic tables, trash cans and grills, according to a city press release. The park already had a 1.25-mile walking trail.

Eventually, the park will include a fishing pier, BMX bike trail, an exercise trail and a canoe launch.
