Michigan Avenue Bridge over the Chicago River - Moving Bridges on Waymarking.com

In downtown Chicago, the Michigan Avenue Bridge over the Chicago River is right next to the Wrigley Building, on the North, and the London Guarantee Building on the South. This is a moveable bridge (Bascule Bridge or draw bridge) that is still in operation, especially in Spring time as the boats are brought out of storage to the harbor of Lake Michigan.

The Bridge's North side as a beautiful sculpture titled "Discovers & Pioneers" by J. E. Fraser 1928. On the Northeast side of the bridge, is an area titled Pioneer Court, very fitting for this art work.
