One of the first Catholic churches in Toledo Ohio. It was founded to serve the Irish workers building the Miami and Erie canal.

This steeple stands 240 feet on one of the oldest Catholic churches in the area. The original church was built in 1862 but by 1891 was condsidered unsafe. The cornerstone of the present building was laid in 1894 This is the second steeple though. The first was destroyed in September 1980 by a lightning strike. It was replaced last year, after 27 years, through the estate of a long time parishioner. Before and after pictures are provided.
