The Cohutta was located 12 miles North of Calhoun and 5 miles south of Dalton, Georgia on US41 (Dixie Highway) Though it no longer exists, it played its part in the Dixie Highways long forgotten history.
The Cohutta opened Thur, July 15, 1948 at 8:00pm. The last movie listing found was on Feb 1951.
Using aerial photos and information from other landmarks in the area we have determined where it was actually located. More info will be added as found.
