It is a little bit of a hike, but it is absolutely worth it! Rainbow Falls in the southernmost part of Devils Postpile National Monument is one of the most beautiful waterfalls we have ever seen. Park at the Mammoth Panorama Station and take the bus to the Monument. You can leave at the visitors center and combine visiting Devils Postpile and the waterfall to a five-mile round trip hike, or you can cut the hike one mile short and use the bus all the way to station 9.

...and from the bottom.
There are stairs leading from the top to the bottom
So, you can hike down and look up ... ... or you can just stay above and enjoy one of nature's greatest accomplishments.
