The ancient custom is to cast cloths upon the waters of St Patrick's Well.
The route from the well follows the coastline northwards, passing a strange rock formation on the first headline called St Patrick’s Road where the Saint is said to- have landed on his return from the Isle of Man. Stiles have been provided to cross the fence lines running down to the shore.
The well is reputed to have curative powers for warts and minor ailments
