Green Turtle Pond is located in the Wanaque Wildlife Management area in
northern NJ. It is popular with paddlers and fisherman. It's a great, quick getaway for an evening, after dinner paddle.

Its a good place for kayakers to practice their Eskimo roll.

It's stocked yearly with brown trout and has a natural population of good sized, largemouth bass, pickerel and sunfish.
Parking/put-in/launching information:
Entrance for launch area is off Awosting Rd. Look for Wanaque Wildlife Management Area sign and follow dirt road to end. Boat launch is gravel/sand. Plentiful parking.

Flatwater pond.

Novice and up

Fishing license required. $20 for residents, plus $8 for a trout stamp
