On an island in the middle of the Ottawa River which defines the Provinces of Ontario and Quebec. The beach here is small, but wonderfully situated.

I was introduced to this island many years ago by Stewie. I discovered this survey marker while setting up a waypoint for a geocache in Stewie's honour.
The island is small, but well situated in the Ottawa River. The beach is on the eastern and down river side of the island. Many boats will moor off shore here or simply drive onto the beach.
A trail leads to a lookout of the river where the survey marker can be found easily.
Bring a picnic, start a small fire on the beach, and relax!
