This fountain is placed by friends and family of Darrel Boling, a local boy-made good in Tulare, CA. Darrel attended the 'school of hard knocks' and grew up to become founder and co-owner of Orchard Machinery Company, a long time supporter of a contributor to (what we know it as) the Farm Equipment Show. The International Agri-Center is home of the world's largest agricultural exhibition.
It was a quiet Sunday afternoon as I walked around the fountain and read the plaque. A gentleman pulled up in a pickup and offered to turn on the fountain so I could photograph it running. Nice people in this small town!
