Well-known to many college football fans, this water tower stands right outside Iowa's Kinnick Stadium.

Believe it or not, this is one of the most well-known water towers in all of college football (not that many are well-known at all). Next time the Iowa Hawkeyes are playing a home game in Kinnick Stadium, watch the game on television. Right there, outside the northeast corner of the stadium, on the visitor's side of the field, will be this water tower. It's also in many of the college football video games that are available.
The tower itself is pretty plain. Attempts to get it painted black with a fluorescent gold Tiger Hawk logo on the side facing the stadium have apparently so far fallen on deaf ears.
