You'll find Paul and Babe at the Trees of Mystery attraction near Klamath. Northern California seems to be the land of roadside attractions so if you love kitsch then this area will be your own little Shangri-La.

Having been born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, evergreen trees are not especially fascinating to me so I was not willing to spend anything to ride a tram and see trees. However, stop and see a giant Paul Bunyan and anatomically correct Babe? Now that's worth stopping for!!
The 49 foot tall Paul holds a 24 foot long axe and through a loudspeaker will talk to you with such witty repartee as "hi there lady in the San Francisco sweatshirt!"

Paul and Babe are free, but the tram is $13.50 for adults and $6.50 for kids ages 4-10. Three and under are free.
