The Pier extends 150 feet from the shore and is 600 feet long. The Pier is open 24 hours and provides the opportunity for great fishing. There are rod holders, bait stands, fish cleaning tables, covered areas, picnic tables and benches. The best times to fish at the Discovery Pier are the last two hours of a flood tide and the first two hours of an ebb tide.
The Pier is also a popular for tourists to view Discovery Passage and the power of the tide. The concession provides rod and tackle rentals, licences and snacks. It closes in the off season.
