This disk is set in a concrete post. The post appears to have been moved slightly since it is not straight in the ground. The date on the marker is 1980. The marker is located along the Etowah River below Allatoona Dam. This disk is red and appears to have been made that color and not painted later. It is located just off River Road near the entrance to the Cooper Furnace day use area.
