The Wisconsin Monument is located on top of a hill in the 23-acre Marietta National Cemetery in Marietta, Georgia. The monument was dedicated to the memory of 405 Wisconsin Veterans died during the Civil War. Stotzer and Company of Milwaukee constructed the monument, which was sponsored by the Wisconsin legislature. The monument features an inscription of each of the Wisconsin Regiments who lost soldiers during battles in Georgia and are buried here. The monument is topped with a likeness of the badger, the Wisconsin state symbol. The Wisconsin Monument was dedicated on May 31,1925.
