Not far from Dad's place in Winter Haven, there is what looks like a smallish restaurant, whose parking lot always seemed full. And for good reason.
Harry's offers the best in fresh, local seafood, prepared exquisetly. Be prepared to wait...that's my only warning. While we were waiting, we spoke with some locals that visit Harry's often. "Everything's fantastic" is how they described the menu.
The menu is impressive, with so many mouth watering preparations, but prepare yourself for the "Catches of the Day." You can get your choice prepared any way you wish...
Gordie ordered the Yellowfin Snapper with garlic butter...delicious. I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass with garlic butter...OMG. Melt in your mouth goodness. One of the best seafood dishes I have EVER had.
For appetizers, we ordered escargot (one of my favorites) and catfish fingers. I was disappointed with the escargot, but this is a fish house, not a French Restaurant. The catfish fingers were down-home good!
