There's more to this playground than meets the eye. Sure, it is on a beach with no ocean in site and it overlooks a gorgeous lake and the brand new Lower Aetna Dam, but, it has one unique distinction unlike any other park I have seen...

Glad you continued reading:
If you look closely you will notice this playground features one of those giant tic tac toe spinner deals for kids to play with but instead of Xs and Os, thse spinners bear the scripture and graphic story of Noah's Ark. Look at the posted pictured for the full story but this is definitely one of a kind. And in case you were wondering, yeah, religion is a major deal in this neck of the woods.
After the great flood of '04 and subsequent failure and destruction of many many dams, there was a massive clean up and a restoration of this area. This playground, pier, beach and dam walk way was the result of those efforts. Knowing the local government paid for this (unless there is something I do not know) and knowing this is on public property, this surely begs the question of separation of church and state. It is still pretty cool though.
